My dad, Ernest "EJ" Guidry, was member of the Black Gang on LST 550 while she was in the Pacific during WW2. Seeking personal journal info, deck log info and experiences from anyone on board her especially fellow Black Gang members. Have Dad's journal, numerous pictures of ship, shipmates and places she went during his time on her. Also interested in what life was like at Camp Bradford, Virginia, from Oct thru Dec of '44. Would be most happy to communicate and share info with fellow shipmates or their kin folks. Hoping to honor him and those who served aboard LST 550 during mentioned time frame by setting up web site.
