He enlisted in Brooklyn NY after working at the Brooklyn Navy Yard on the Missouri I have the 248 company picture if anyone would like a copy. He went on to be an LCT driver on Dday and also was posted in Plymouth before the landing. Surviving Navy Landing Craft Sailors were assigned to the Army after Dday until later during the drive to Germany where they were assigned to River Boat Duty.
