 I'm working off of what my Aunt turned up by submitting an online 180 on the national archives vetrecs website. That returned his Notice of Separation, and his discharge paperwork. Sadly nothing else during his service.

I have dug up some info on a great site dedicated to the USS Rooks, but he was only aboard that for a month, waiting to be discharged.

Any suggestions on where to look next?

And thanks again. While it is sad to hear that the task of culling info is winding down, I cannot commend you enough for keeping what has been done accessible. Your website, and photos, brought to life for me what had been just a typewritten entry on a poorly photocopied document.
