 Dear Sir,

I have been researching for my father-in-laws naval experiences for his 80th birthday coming up in Dec. He was on the same vessel. His name is Frank T. Correia, in San Diego, California.

I have the original paper work on the itenerary for this ship, pictures etc.
He was hurt that night the sub hit, and taken to a hospital ship and returned to the USS Marathon.

I also have an original hand written account from what happened that night aboard the vessel. I do not know who wrote it. 3 pages. I cannot ask my father in law because it is a suprise party.

If you are interested I would be happy to mail you copies of these documents. Please let me know if you have anything to share also.

I tried contacting john wayne mohney but the aol address came back undeliverable.

I cannot make heads or tails of the pictures of the blast I have, don't really know which way is up...haha...
