They played very well in both games over the weekend. I was very impressed with how we held high scoring Canisius to under 60 points.

The good thing is that Jen Mitchell did not shoot well in either game, in fact yesterday she banked in a fairly long range jumper which doesn't happen that often to a good shooter so lets just hope that she is in a mini shooting slump...if she would have been hitting her shots this weekend, we could have won both games by large margins. However, Jen did pull down a big offensive rebound with approx 15 seconds left against Niagara and the Hounds up by 3.

I can't remember the Niagara player's name but the program said she was scoring 20 points a game...anyway she only made 3 baskets and one was a transition basket that she was fouled on and completed a three point play. From what I remember, Shontrese and Krystle(sp) Harrington were the Hounds guarding her...good job guys!

Katie Scherle is one good ball player. Unless someone had a monster week, she will be MAAC rookie of the week again.

BTW, the attendance for both games was decent with some youth groups attending the Friday night game. Also, the players signed autographs after each game.

First place in the MAAC!

Go Greyhouds
