Subject: No $$$ to buy out Hicks... NEWS

I was informed while on campus today for the women's game that SCOTT HICKS will almost definitely be back next season for his fourth year. Inside sources say this for two reasons:

1.) Loyola does not have the funds to buy out Hicks' contract. His contract, which costs appr. 125k as originally reported here, is too expensive for Loyola to both buy it out and pay a new coach.

2.) Ridley is divided on the issue. He does want a winner, but feels personally responsible to Hicks.

Insiders also say that one candidate to mention is Dave Wojcik's brother, an asst. now at UNC (i believe).

Just thoughts...

-Anthony
