When I read this I had an idea, I went to Old Testament, STudent Manual, 1 Kings - Malachi (institute manual) and came up with the following info. It can be found on page 298. If you have the manual, it explains its well. Let me know if you don't and I can scan it to you.

Briefly here is what it says:
" History certifies to the fact that King Nebuchadnezzar was the head of gold. The Medes and the Persians, an inferior kingdom to Babylon, were the arms and breast of silver. The Macedonian kingdom, under Alexander the Great, was the belly and thighs of brass; and the Roman kingdom under the Ceasars was the legs of iron. For mark you, later on the kingdom, or empire of Rome, was divided. The head of the kingdom of one government in one division was at Rome and the head of the government in the other division was at Constantinopole.. So these great divisions repesented the legs of iron. Finally, the Roman empire was broken into smaller kingdoms, represented by the feet and toes of iron and clay." (In Conference Report, Apr. 1930, p.32).

If you do not have this book, I would highly recommend it for the study of the Old Testament. There are two parts. Genesis through whatever and then 1 Kings through Malachi.
It can be purchased at the bookstore for about $4.75. When I was studying the Old Testament it was incredibly useful.

Just a thought......
Kel
