We had a great practice Wednesday, and it looks like we'll be on target for Monmouth. It's only 15 days (2 Wednesday practices)away though, so if you're having trouble with any tunes, you should put it into overdrive right about now. The March and Strathspey's sounded pretty clean at times, but work needs to be done on the Reel and two Jigs. Espcially the parts in the Jigs where the pipers are playing by themselves... that's make-or-break stuff there.

Also, I know the Tenor Drummers have expressed an interest in competing, and I know it's too late for Monmouth, but is there any chance of getting an instructor down for them to write appropriate music? If they can get up to the point where they'd be adding to our ensemble score, I definitely think it would be worth it, but only a strong Tenor Drum instructor would be able to make that determination.

The next one after Monmouth is a MARCH ONLY contest, and I think it would be great if we could have them for that, but someone has to write a score and work with them on the set.

Thoughts?
