Pat, A workshop is great. If we need the Armory for a location, I will just need the date a few weeks ahead of schedule to set it up. I don't see any problems, unless we pick a date when the guys are drilling at the Armory, but we have two armories to pick from so it might just mean Freeport instead of Bayshore. Getting the date picked quickly is also going to essential because getting maximum attendance on a Saturday in the summer already sounds difficult. We might also consider a Sunday as an alternate. I used to run these things for the NCPD Band way back when (we had Jimmy Bell, John Wassman and Gordon Bell all at the same time)and we did it on either a Sat or a Sun. from 9:00AM to about 1:00 or 2:00PM with a "Working Pizza Lunch" We did about an hour of "Reeding the pipes" (both chanter and drones) then we went to the table for chanters on the competition sets and finally piping with a focus on tunning, setting up the band and the competition sets before "The Pizza" over lunch we discussed the areas we were weakest in and how to fix then. After Pizza, we were on pipes and at the set really hard to make the corrections we had decided on. Don't know if this is what you had in mind, but it worked out pretty well for us at that time. We had to send copies of all our music to Jimmy including the drum scores ahead of time. Talk to you more on this Saturday. I'll stop and pick up some coffee and Dunkin Dougnuts.
