Sorry to hear about yesterdays results, but with basically a 50% new band on the field it is going to take us a little while to build this team. Lets look at the basics first: Was the start better than last time, were we in control of the tempos, were the changeovers clean, did we get a better comment on tuning. The time that is spent before the judges is only a brief snap shop of any bands real ability & potential. Murphy's Law can get to anyone at any given time. Adversity builds disicipline and from disicipline comes success. If we could practice together two or three times a week and compete every weekend all this stuff would be worked out in a relatively short time. Since we can not do this right now, then it will take a little more disicipline and time to get it done. The people we need are in place, the dedication in some is very apparant, in others it still needs developing. We can not accept a poor score as a bad omen, it is mearly one or two judges, onetime, preception of where they think we need to be working. See you next Wednesday so we can plan for our next contest.
