We found a young, tan-and-white male (no collar) wandering in the downtown intersection of Travis and Clay Sts. on 8/29. Our vets at Rice Village Animal Hospital say he's about 8 mos. old and in good health (negative heart worms). They treated him for fleas, mites, and pinworms, bathed him and trimmed his nails. Also gave him his immunizations. He is very gentle and affectionate. He's housebroken and took well to a leash. On walks, he never barks at dogs, cats, or people. We absolutely cannot keep him, but hate to take him to an agency. The Houston pitbull rescue people tell us they're only accepting paying boarders ($1,500 for 6 mos., in advance) which we're unable to do.
