My husband has a pit that he rescued from severe deprivation and neglect 3 1/2 yrs ago. She was a 3rd dog in the family at the time, and the youngest (older pit female and shep mix male) She was a sweet dog fo about 1 1/2 yrs and then started to show aggression towards other dogs when we started obedience classes. Up to that point she never had been agressive, but since then the aggression has escalated to growling at familiar dogs, and growling at and occassionaly outright attacking her "brother" the shep. She has in the last 6 mos started growling at visitors, and has even snapped at both my husband and I. We have spent numerous hours on walks, reinforcing obedience, and giving many belly rubs, talking to trainers specializing in aggression and even talking to the pit bull breed club in my state. All are telling me it is time to give up the good fight and eithanize her before a tragedy happens. I guess I am trying to clear my conscience by trying every avenue of help. ANy replies would be appreciated
