Or perhaps he looks at in more realistically. He's getting on a bit now, he's a got a palmares that just about any sprinter (or most other riders) can only dream of, all those second places means he's still competitive enough to keep trying (not that I think he knows any other way) so there's always "tomorrow" and unlike some of his team, he's still in the race! Though I do wish he'd try something a little bit different and try and be a little bit more of a true classics racer.
