I agree, I also think that while second place may be frustrating, he knows that the fassa blue train will be irrelevant after Sunday when Pet. jumps in the car. (I don't mean this as a slam on Pet., because I think he does try to fight through the mountains more than he is given credit for.) As a good climber for a sprinter, it will be between Zabel, O'Grady and Freire for the sprint jersey and Freire has already said that he is focused on the worlds. If you look at the realistic overall for the sprint jersey, he is as much as winning these races where he is coming in second.
