Subject: WADA agencies latest addition to banned substances list

Verbatim from WADA's press release posted at gazzetta.it today:

Londra -

Roughly translated:

The list of banned substances by the world doping agency Wada grows. The executive committee has in fact decided to add finasteride (I don't know the North American drug brand equivalent, sorry), part of a group of drugs defined as enzyme inhibitors to this banned list: a specific study has revealed that finasteride, used solely to combat hair loss and prostate problems can also be used as a masking agent.
Also considered for the purposes of doping practices are endovenous transfusions not done for medical purposes, and starting next year Beta-2, a drug used most often for asthma diagnoses will reenter the list of banned substances.

I am no doctor, but it boggles the mind how far ahead the cheaters seem to be ahead of the medical profession.
