Nowadays, the difference <b>in a grand tour</b> between having the strongest captain vs. a mediocre captain is over 10 minutes while the difference between having the strongest team vs. a mediocre team is only a couple of minutes.

In one-day races, I think individual strength and team strength are about equally important to winning.
