Armageddon!

What a strong word. I often wonder what the Taoists think of the 'Middle East' being considered to be the cradle of civilisation. Israel is the cause of all the mindlessness that has triggered contemporary problems.

From the mouths of the 'enemy' come words that state clearly that Israel and its behaviour to the Palestinians are the causes of this conflict that threatens the world today.

To me, the behaviour aspect of the Israelis is what engenders angst among anyone with a sense of morality.

Australia was instrumental in getting Israel into the UN in 1948 and has maintained a strong support ideology in that regard ever since. This is right! The Jews needed a Homeland after the atrocities of WW2.

But this emulation of Nazi behaviour by the Israelis is criminal, and it kicks supporters of Israel right in the guts. No nation, whatever the provocation, should be allowed to get away with behaviour of this sort. It should be remembered that it is terror groups [some say freedom fighters] that cause death and injury to Israelis but it is the State of Israel that causes injury to Palestinians.

That is the defining difference.

And the Fundamentalists of USA and elsewhere, be they Jew or Christian, cannot see that difference. They only see their 'holy position'.

Merry Xmas Don! As an atheist I love Xmas. It should be a time for family and fun. Let's hope we get to feel this rare sensation.
