I like the strip at Kerema... Good view of mud-flats in all directions. Lovely green canopy of trees either side of the strip. Malalaua strip gets a bit of a worry if the grass is not cut.. 18 inch grass has a fantastic braking effect. I actualy enjoy Moresby as well, unlike some of you. I think that Jackson's Field is a well laid out, good long, zero altitude strip, plus the bar at the South Pacific Aero club (Must renew my membership) is a top safe place to drink. I make a point of staying at the low priced accomodation, such as Budget Inn, or the CWA or even Kundu Haus (When it's available)... The guards look after you, and the humbugs leave you alone, thinking you don't have money... Cunning trick I picked up years ago, and it works. One thing to be wary of in POM, is the early closing of a lot of bars, so you need to get the guard to pick up a six pak or so from one of the black-market places... They're everywhere.
