We were staying at the Hollywood Mirage for the last 2 weeks and visited the Paradise Club on Saturday 25th August. Having not read anything about the entertainment licence it was a shock to get up to Murphys Law and find nothing there outside - however the soundproofing had just been completed and there were 2 live shows on. We also were shocked to find that all the staff that we had known for years were no longer there - Eloy in particular. The bar was very cramped with big wooden tables and chairs and little space and the pillars didn't give the best view of the stage but the acts were OK. Spoke to a few people who had been in resort for the past week and they said that the lack of entertainment had been a real issue - although everything else had been fine. Am not sure how they expect to fit a resort full of people into the show area - it used to be a struggle for the later show before when lots of people had taken the kids home. Guess we will see ..... Entertainment at the Hollywood Mirage etc was very good - although by all accounts XL owners aren't too happy with maintenance etc either!

Yes we were there at paradise since 17 august for weeks and have owned there for18 years the entertainment was GREAT we go every year to paradise and this is the first year that they have got there act together (sorry about the pun) but they drinks are competetive with the bars in town ST EUGEANS for price and AT LAST the first entertainment starts at 10pm and the second is at 11 pm bar closes at 12 30am ALL 2 WEEKS the entertainment was VERY GOOD NOT THE SAME OLD ELVIS ect there was NEW ACTS this is the first year for 11 years that we have stayed on site for evening enterainment CANT KNOCK IT and it saved taxi fare. my only complaint was after 9.30pm a gin and tonic was served in a half pint guiness glass to which i refused and got my own glass from the appartment TOO WICH I DID BRING TO THE BAR MANAGERS ATTENTION. Jusia is still there in the bar at zacarys he has been on site for 19years.Also if you go inside Murphys it has lots of alcoves and is bigger than first expected. WE had a great two weeks

sorry but disagree with Anne and Paul completely.
Been owners there for 10 years. The entertainment itself is ok , but the venue, atmosphere and very very high prices are terrible.
If you are very lucky and get one of the only 4 tables that can see the entertainment, fine. Everone else, forget it. There is absolutely no room for pushchairs or children to move about and you cant let them go outside because you cannot see them through the blacked out windows. We spent every night at Murphys last summer and only one this. Found where John the old compare was working and went down there. Great fun and a hell of a lot cheaper, even for those who had to pay for a taxi. !

Completely agree with Karen. Ive been going to the Paradise Club for the past 5 years and the entertainment is rubbish compared to what it used to be. With the staff being sacked (John, Eloy, Ben and Chris) there is no atmosphere, and the new staff are so busy because they have one person behind the bar they have no time for banter. I wont be going back to the paradise again, it has gone down the pan this last year, which is such a shame as we used to love holidaying there.

Sounds like they have made a mess of entertainment if all they have done is is use the stupid little stage in bar as opposed to the large stage outside.
They could have soundproofed the whole area and then more people would have been able to enjoy the entertainment.
I have been an owner for 15years looks like this xmas and new year we will be looking for bars outside of Paradise, I also think a lot of the regulars at this time of the year will also go out to Fanabe area, wich means a loss of revenue for CLC, pity they did not ask owners what they thought should be done with the entertainment.
