Yes you can just sign it away, but beware of potential problems if you are a RCI points owner and have included the week(s) in your portfolio.

I'm looking to had it back, but am waiting for guidance from RCI via email about the potential penalties. I was informed by RCI over phone that I needed to give 13 months notice.

As promised I have now had confirmation from RCI Points that as a points owner I will need to give 12 months notice and complete a form from them. It is available via RCI Customer services.

Until that is done, you cannot transfer ownership or surrender the week you "own".
