I have just received a letter from Club La Costa offering me a free luxury holiday inc flights in Spain or Tenerife providing I attend a presentation at their new Haydock office (pressumably for timeshare hard sell). I Have been to a few of this type of presentation before and had a couple of good, relatively inexpensive holidays from them. I can't help thinking that my luck will run out soon. Has anyone been offererd the same from CLC, paid admin fees and actually got their holiday, if so was it any good ?

I atteneded a presentation at Haydock a couple of years ago but I was already an existing Paradise group member who CLC had taken over.Once they realised I was an owner they couldn't get me out of the building quick enough. The presentation lasted all of 5 minutes!!!
The presentation you will get will be for a 3 year trial package which allows you so many weeks vacation during that time.I'm not sure of all the destinations available but Costa del sol[CLC flagship resort] and the Pardise Club,Tenerife will be there. The package is priced at about £3500 or there about. The free luxury holiday including flights is not quite ae straight forward as it sounds. You have to select dates when you would like to go away but none of them can be within a certain time of each other. Can't remeber the details but 4 months sounds about right. Also, the flights, you have to select which airport you prefer but there is no guarantee you will get one in your region. You may live in the northwest but might get issued with Gatwick. Also there is an administration charge, again I think the cost is about £60 per person. The luxury holiday to the Costa del sol or Tenerife is again another sales pitch.Once there, you will be offered free breakfast or lunch then attend another presentation. This time they will try to get you to swap your trial 3 year membership and convert you to the Club La Costa points system. Here,we're talking serious money. To get into the points system they'll probably try and sell you at least 1500 points.Sounds alot, but to be honest you need about 2500.The cost of these points from CLC,about £10 PER POINT.1500 points=£15000!!!The resale market sells them for a fraction of the CLC price. That's the basis of what you'll be walking into. The points system works for some but not for others. If you've got children and need school holidays then availabilty is very, very restricted.
If you need any more info email me.
Cheers,
Gary.

If they offer you a holiday to one of their own resorts on condition you spend a few hours with a rep, then I'd say Yes, go and make full use of their hospitality BUT DON'T BUY!!

If the holiday is not a CLC resort but "pay admin fee, take the holiday when they say, from the airport they pick, etc." then I wouldn't do it.
