Just took another look at the guestbook at this site. Be sure to sign in and leave your e-mail address. So far we've heard from a bunch of folks, mostly '76 grads but some who graduated elsewhere. Including the people accounted for at this board we had messages from: Judy Bailey Relyea (what happened Judy, you were a regular for a while), Cathy Bushey Rayes, Kathie Harton Cooke (married another Essex alum), Sue Evans Woodworth, Steve Edwards, Karen Rich (an Essex teacher), Stephanie O'Leary Spencer (crazy about horses, married a farrier), Barry Percy (mouse lovin' millionaire), Lori Pilus, Barb Buell Frazier, Shawn Bartlett, Joanne Murray VanDyk (liked to play spin the bottle), DeeDee Iorlano (married a hooligan). Hope to hear from more folks...check out our hits!

People still seem somewhat shy about leaving messages here. I'm not sure why, but I understand it sometimes takes time to get these things going. I'd like to announce those who are now eligible to win the broken toaster: Ana, Patti, Laurie, George, Robin, Kathy and Maureen!!! congratulations!!! these folks have all left messages and a drawing of their names will be held on the next Rosie O'Donnell show!

Congratulations also to Kathy O'Brien from Vermont for being one of the final 3 survivors. I know this isn't the Kathy we know from Essex but it was cool to see a Vermonter represented nonetheless!

Tim, you are right it wasn't me on that Island. The only island I'm interested in surviving on is an all-inclusive one.

so, people seem to have clammed up for a while here at the EJHS forum. John, I'm surprised we don't have more Merle Haggard fans around here. It could be that people have started their vacations; and then there's graduations, weddings and all the summer activities that we in Vermont have to cram into a couple of months.

Speaking of activities, we had a nice time at our 8th annual Father's Day Weekend event. Despite rains, which were heavy at times, several of us made it down to Button Bay State Park. The Ketchams, Gifford's, Prior's, Nealy's O'Rourke's MaCausland's and the Bishop's were all represented this year. Thanks to Dave we set up a flea market tent, with tarp additions it was big enough for the whole party to get under. One of the highlights of the weekend was when Ken Koval showed up on Saturday night with his head donut maker, Bing, and we all reminisced about the old days around the campfire.

The next boysweekend event is in August when dad's and their kids will descend on Kettle Pond in Groton for the 3rd annual kidsweekend. For more on these and other events check out the boysweekend site at www.boysweekend.com - T
