good job everyone, we seem to have had a few bursts of nostalgia here and this is a good start. We still don't know the former name of the Acropolis or the bar at the bowling alley, but I believe it was owned by the Snyders. We need the name of the diner on Pearl Street down by the Wendy's (but wait it's not Wendy's anymore). I remember delivering the newspaper to Muncies diner on Main Street next to the 5 corners. David remembers getting his briefs at Remingtons and probably still has the Quick Draw MacGraw pencil case (in mint condition no doubt). I'm still looking for the name of our principal at Hiawatha. As I remember Patti, you could always hold her own with the boys, and I don't think I ever saw you tipsy. Happy Father's Day everyone!

The principal's name at Hiawatha was "Hyman". If only we had known just how funny that is back when we were there! He paddled a few trouble-makers, like Gary Valway. Mike Tortarella (sp?) was let out of school 15 minutes early, so he could make it home before Gary Valway and others beat up on him. I recall Tom Jones getting caught looking up Miss Chapin's dress.....she wasn't a bad looking woman! Miss Seaver taught sex-ed there.....yikes! As I remember, she got fired later on for physical abuse.....or something like that. Just looking at her was abuse. Ahhhh, those were some good times. What ever happened to the "big bully" Bill Dutton. He used to hide in the corn field and wait for kids to beat up. "I" recall Patti snippered a few times. There used to be some good parties.

I remember Mike Tortarello's mother following him home in her car from ADL, I never understood why she didn't just give him a ride. I also remember Mr. Hyman sewing up my pants when I split them. I stayed in a bathroom stall while someone took them to him. He wasn't only a disciplinarin ( I had to look that one up to spell it )but a seamstress.
