Subject: Having your own domain would definitely give you control. I was thinking of getting my own too until I thought about how would I even start with a website on it. Geocities has a file manager. Don't know what you'd use with your own domain. I'm still computer illiterate. Sorry. Thought I had lost my site once too. Geo will probably get it straightened out, but I'm sure not soon enough. Happy 4th!.... :o)
In reply to: Anita & Mooch 's message, "Update on lost Mooch Train site: I am not the only one who lost her site, ALL the Petsburgh PARK site owners have no access to their sites. My Park Community Leader said to wait it out, there have been problems and they hope it will come back. I saved all my HTML codes and graphics but it would still be very hard work to start all over. I wonder if having my own domain would give me greater protection??? Any ideas? Thanks again your kind words helped me a lot. Have a great 4th of July." on 13:26:14 07/02/00 Sun

  • I hope your site come back up. I have also thought about my own domain, but with 3 sites I couldn't afford it. I still can't edit my sites on Freeservers. My cat and dog sites wouldn't be that hard to redo, but time consuming. My recipe site would take forever because I have the "no right click" feature on all the pages. Let us know if it comes back up.....nm (NT) -- Kat, 13:34:27 07/02/00 Sun
