I nearly bought one on Ebay. Three have appeared so far - maybe next time.

I am puzzled as to why there should be two versions. Iron mineralisation may be stronger in Australia, but if a detector is designed to work well there, then surely it must do at least as good in the US or elsewhere. If there is a difference, then customers ought to know what it is, both to allay speculation, and to be confident that their detector will work properly if they should travel to either country.
