Subject: GoldStrike Question

I downloaded the manual for the GoldStrike and noticed on pg.7 that if you set the Threshold anywhere from 0-4, you can operate with a tone. Also on pg.8 you can select to manually ground balance. Sounds like you can operate this like a regular gold machine if you so choose, and I would like to hear from those who have run this with the audible threshold (in spite of the fact of effecting the operation of automatic ground tracking). The manual sez that this will allow you to hear the tiniest targets, does it also improve the depth?

I was impressed with what I read and would love to try one of these out at Fremont Valley/El Paso mtns.

Thanks much,

Randy Seden
