Subject: Difference in depth, and goldbugs

Hi Guys,
I've been reading the various forums and all the talk about the small coils for the goldmaster series. A lot of people seem to want one, yet a lot of people swear by the gold bug 2 with 6" combo. Is there some hope of the goldmasters being more versatile?? I'm just wondering what the depth difference is of the GMT or GM4 compared to the goldmaster 2.
One thing that people have to realise is that in theory the width of the coil determines depth as well as sensitivity, and a concentric coil will get better depth, provided that the ground is not too mineralised to cause an erratic threshold. If white's are making a small coil for the goldmaster's, then I beleive Fisher should be making a round DD coil, so that depth is improved in Hot Ground. I love the features of both goldbug's, and the fact that the control box is on top, but I just wish they had some DD coils so I wouldn't need another detector for hot ground.
Anyone agree?
