No, I don't have you figured out... but you're wrong. I would like to know you a lot better. MY "tirade" - if you considered it such - was not aimed at you. You simply opened an avenue of discussion and I went traipsing roughshod with my size 16EEEEEE clodhopper mouth down the road without considering that you would take anything I said personally.

For that you have my deepest apologies, as does Miz Honey. She has known me long enough to know that I often do such things with no ill intent toward the original writer. This was just another case of lion roaring around instead of at someone. As a matter of fact, I had little problems with what you posted. What bothered me was that other folks, less informed and more warped in their mindless political hatred used the things that you and Honey said to send me e-mail messages gloating over how "even your own friends know Bush is a liar and a cheat. They know it is all about oil for him and his father and Cheney."

No one mistrusts the United States government more than I do... absolutely no one. Few have more cause to distrust them. The difference is that I see the blame heaped upon many politicians wrongfully. The average person forgets about those faceless-nameless-protected from accountability bureaucrats who are the REAL Clear and Present Danger to us ALL. If you want an eye opener, go to any Georgetown pub on any night of the week and listen to them as they discuss topics over which they hold sway. Anyone who has done so ALWAYS walks away shaken and frightened. I know I always have.

Politicians are dangerous creatures but we can change them on predictible cycles, if we get the civic will. Not so with the shadow government still implementing the plans of Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton, often in direct contradiction to the specific orders of the administration.

Please don't let me offend you, Deb. It is never my intent to do so... but you always have the right to let me have it right back and I not only support your right to do so, I ENCOURAGE IT! Babboo says you can handle your own, so go for it.

Besides, how do I know someone here isn't related to the person with the cure for terminal lung cancer? Do you think I woul KNOWINGLY upset that person? I just look that dumb. Inside I am a craven, cowardly wimp.
