What bothered me was that other folks, less informed and more warped in their mindless political hatred used the things that you and Honey said to send me e-mail messages gloating over how "even your own friends know Bush is a liar and a cheat. They know it is all about oil for him and his father and Cheney."

Truthfully, dear sweet Laf, I don't take anything personally anymore. If a conversation seems to be getting personal, I will take my toys and go home. I don't play those kind of games, and I've known you long enough not to take anything you say in a debate personally.

As for the emailers who said what they said,......... they obviously jumped on only one thing and didn't see anything more. I have a serious distrust of ALL politicians, no matter what party they belong to... and feel that each one of them only enforces my belief that term limits are the only way we can get back TRUE representatives and get rid of professional politicians. There is a part of me that wants to believe that GW is a TRUE Christian and is seeking the Lord's way in all this.... but there is a practical side of me that can't help but listen to the questions being raised about the oil connections. I have not made my mind up yet on what I believe.... I'm considering many angles and trying to delve a bit deeper into both sides. The one thing I am NOT doing is buying the mindless gerbil given out by the major so-called news bureaus...ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox. The days of HONEST reporting are long gone.... so we each owe it to ourselves and to our country to DIG for the truth.
