The gift,
An ironic name for a cursed existence,
I stand alone,
Claustrophobic in the void that is my world,
Held fast,
Chained by the vagrancy of my vicarious actions,
Apathetic,
An ineffable creature observing destiny,
Time passing,
Yet I procrastinate for time is irrelevant,
Eternal,
In so far as I am all that is immortal,
A simple varlet,
Lost forever to your world long ago,
This legacy,
The dictator of my mood and appetite,
The hunger,
Once the taste of life now a bud of insipidity,
The hunt,
Innocuous in appearance but leading to the kill,
The tragedy,
A patron of beauty and art essential to life,
The paradox,
A twisted form that preys upon weakness,
The injury,
To myself and the unfortunates perchance I meet,
The trap,
Locked in this perpetual and circular battle,
The escape,
To find the beauty in one final sunrise.
