Glen,

I can quote from the scriptures, because I believe that they are authoritative. You, on the other hand, should quote from books and sources that YOU find to be authoritative. You should not be quoting from books that you feel are not authoritative.

You cannot just pick and choose. If the passages that you quote are true, then all the passages of scripture must be true. In this case, you are guilty of rejecting the truth. On the other hand, if the scriptures are false, anytime you quote from those scripture, you will be spreading falsehoods.

Either the scriptures are completely authoritative, or they are not. You are trying to have your cake and eat it, too. It just will not work.
