Mamusz,

I agree with you. I think these "reconciling" activities are a very bad idea. There must be alot of people who feel that the cross of Jesus is just too hard and heavy to bear. So they think that if they get all friendly again with the enemy it will be lighter or they can put it down altogether. We have all discovered that if we stand up for what we believe, then members of the CoC will not like us. That is just the way it is.

There is nothing wrong with celebrating Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner with friends and family whose philosophies are different than our own. We can go to their weddings and funerals, birthday parties, etc. But when we start thinking that we can worship with them, submitting to their false beliefs then we will be lost with them.
