Lincoln sent 550,000+ to their deaths in the Civil War. FDR sent 400,000+ of our troops to their deaths in WWII. Kennedy and LBJ sent OVER 50,000 of our young men and women to their deaths for NOTHING in Viet Nam. There are valid reasons for having gone into Afghanistan and Iraq. The 2,000+ we have lost died for a justifiable cause. If our leaders had a spine and ignored the negative media reports, our losses would be lower. The media is directly responsible for many deaths by causing the enemy to think they have a chance if they keep up the bloodshed of innocent Iraqis and our troops. It is one thing to object to the war and quite another to aid the enemy, even indirectly.
