(Mobile)-The Seagulls head home after a disapointing loss to the Lincoln Lightning. The team was obvousily disturbed by the recent turn of events. Matters won't be helped much by the fact that Mobile faces Louisiana in a must-win game for them if the Gulls hold out any serious hope to win the division with 5 weeks lefts. GM Mike Banghart has never seen his team beat the hated Bayou Beast, but the Bayou Beast have never won at Mobile either. One of the streaks has to give this week. Best news of the week is that star running back Marquette Smith is finally fully healthy. After being rushed back after the frist injury too soon, Marquette now says he feels completely healthy. And the Gulls desperately need him to produce like earlier this season if they hope to beat the Beast. GM Mike Banghart was working the phones hard before the trade deadline that passed just recently. Unconfirmed reports indicate that the Gulls acquired a veteran linebacker from Utah. No word on who the Gulls got specifically or what they gave up. The deal has yet to be confirmed by the league office officially. The Gulls with a win can tie the Franchise single win mark for a season of 7 which was set in 1999 during the FIFL's inagurual year. Bottomline this game is critically for the Gulls' hopes of making the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.
