Date Posted: 01:48:33 05/13/03 Tue I heard an economist on Irish Radio (Newstalk 106 or RTE 1?) speculate that the US state department had let it be known that the I.R.S. would "audit" the Tax affairs of US transnationals benefiting from Ireland's 12% corporation tax rate IF there was any backtracking on the Irish government facilitating the use of Shannon airport for refueling of US military planes during the US invasion of Iraq. Can anyone source/ substantiate/ discredit this rumour? Thanks, JM [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
