Hi, I'm John Church, I own the Pirates, and I deliberately chose them because, yes, I am an honest to goodness Pirate fan, despite never having lived within a 100 mile radius of Pittsburgh (probably even greater than that). I'm Columbia, 2003; I met Tom there, he introduced me to Phil, both invited me to participate in their fantasy league last year (I didn't do so hot), and then mentioned to me that the Pirates were available in this league, so I had to pick them up. I figure, even if I do everything wrong, they'll have to improve over last year's real life record. Nice meeting you all.
