Subject: Yes, got some gorgeous pieces
In reply to: WE67 's message, "High Point? Thomasville? for furniture." on 21:51:50 06/01/02 Sat

thinking we may need them for housesitting again (which saved our lives btw)

Sadly we were bilked out of every single piece of that furniture by a 'friend' who was our realtor in Austin who handled the sale of our house while we were on the road and the packing and storing of our things...it really got out of control and I have no recourse. Sort of like the situation Cari is in with the lawyers only tons more money and emotional indignation/hurt/abuse of trust & friendship involved...now I know what women bilked by hustler men feel like - shit! Just glad it wasn't like that, sitll has been bitter hard to get over.

Had some Century pieces, some Marge Carson, oh some wonderful things, some Lane, etc...shopped hard and bargained well and got phenominal prices...but had to wait eeons so most of it was never even used until unloaded out of storage in Austin as things were still arriving at the time of layoff. You know how timely all that is. So a lot more than just the price we paid went into each piece...it's all gone along with the things we picked up in Austin.

Just stuff, they say

It's in the past, she said

Judge is a family friend and would NEVER rule against me, don't waste your energy hon.
