Subject: Opening up a can of worms maybe?

I saw an interview yesterday of the older couple who survived the plunge into the river on I 40 in Oklahoma. They attributed their survival to their Christian beliefs, that they were spared because they are Christians.

Well, I'm a Christian too, but to assume that one was spared by God for practicing a church doctrine for years, yet a three year old and countless others not yet found were NOT spared speaks to an exclusivity that I cannot buy.

It gripes me when someone says, "By the grace of God, I was spared." Does that mean the other hapless victims who may also be Christians or are too young to be soul-saved weren't worthy?

I'd say Mr. and Mrs. Holier Than Thou were just damn lucky.

That's my rant for today. As you were.
