Good morning Erin.

Given Pascal's "pattern" from the very beginning of saying things that I and others that watch the program regularly found to be unfair, Pascal's comment, "THEY think we OWE THEM something" was offensive whether it was meant racially or individually. It's insulting and most unfair.

As far as friendships being formed or not formed along racial lines, race is clearly an issue when it comes to how most viewers see African Americans forming their own friendships. However, Pascal and Neleh, clearly being white and in this country's majority (albeit temporarily) aren't "processed" by most viewers as forming a frienship along racial lines (even though they're white) and are allowed by the majority to be seen as just "normally" forming a friendship" exclusive of race which was most unfair to Sean and Vee because they couldn't be viewed as just "normally" forming a friendship as well. I believe that with respect to Sean and Vee, biases and assumptions were made on the part of certain tribe members because they are black. When Sean and Vee realized that those biases and assumptions were indeed the reality of the situation in how they were being viewed particularly towards the end, they had to consider their minority status and all that entails in terms of other peoples' racial garbage and hangups and get busy with forming their own alliance. They'd been insane not to.

When this country decided to make the ugliness of race an issue hundreds of years ago until this very day, black people had to use and are still using their very own devices, defenses, and comraderie to better and further their own chances and to even survive be it real life or a game. That is what we see manifested in so many different ways in this nation each and every day in response to what "this country started" as an ongoing problem. The problem is still going on today (although more subtle) and no matter how hard it's attempted to blindly see all people strictly as individuals (which in itself is insulting as people and their culture should be respected), or how we may wish for it to disappear and not exist because it makes some more "comfortable" and finally thinking that we've arrived, the reality is that the issue of race is always there. Unfortunately. And it is there because this country and it's descendents and its' well entrenched "system" of prejudice put it there and continues to perpetuate it in so many different ways.

So, getting back to Sean and Vee, when you brazenly say that they brought the race issue on themselves, that's totallly irrational Erin as Sean and Vee didn't make it an issue. Certain others did through their preconceived notions, looks, comments, references, biases, double standards, and prejudices toward them. THEN it became an issue with Sean and Vee and they had to use what ever means they found necessary towards furthering their chances as survivors as everyone else what entitled to as well, but not nearly as sharply criticized for.

Getting back to Kathy's strategy, again and again, she voiced all along that Pascal and Neleh's alliance was a very dangerous one TO HER and that it must be busted up. When that rare opportunity to vote Neleh off (which happened as a result of Sean's contribution in the form of a vote) coupled with Kathy barely winning immunity over Neleh, Kathy very unwisely opted out of forming an alliance with Sean and Vee. Common sense dictates that since there are only 4 left, and Pascal and Neleh are firmly bonded, and both Pascal and Neleh negatively spoke of Sean and Vee throughout the game which likely means that Vee is next on their list. So, it temporarily makes sense that Kathy would naturally align her herself with Neleh and Pascal unless Vee wins immunity which means that Pascal and Neleh would have no choice but to vote Kathy out since they won't vote for each other and cannot vote for an immunized Vee. If Kathy wins immunity again, I still believe she's greatly reduced her chances as being the ultimate winner as she would have stood a much better chance as far as the jury is concerned against Sean or Vee as I don't believe either was liked by the jury. So, Kathy's decision, I believed was centered in fear of the pressures and the prejudices of her peers.

As far as Sean bullying Vee, I didn't see that at all Erin. When did that happen? Perhaps, I missed it.

Personally, I am glad that Sean got to leave with that beautiful SUV particuarly with seeing how the tide was venomously turning against him. I would be motivated too with boundless energy if my tail was on the line. It's only human nature to respond so vigorously and I'm very proud of him for doing so and coming away with something. It certainly can't be said that it wasn't earned.

I appreciate your listening to comments as well.
