Subject: NBA Finals

I just finished watching game 7 and it was pretty much what I expected from the NBA. Now, I am pretty unbiased about this, I really didn't give a crap which team won. My interest in the playoffs died when the Bucks got beat. However, my son watches everything so I watched a bit of the finals and had to watch game 7. It was proof positive of everything I've said about the NBA since the late 70's. The refs are told by the commish which team they are to "help out" in the best interest of the game. Without the help of the referees there was no way the Lakers win tonight. Now, I'm not saying the the ref's totally throw games, but they DO favor one team over the other to make things interesting or give the edge to the team the NBA wants to win. Anybody that isn't a die hard Lakers fan cannot possibly say that the refs didn't hand that game to them. Hell, most Lakers fans would probably have to admit it. The NBA got what it wanted, Kobe getting another title. Good for them, regardless of how much they had to influence the game to get it.
