Well, I think that the artistic basics aren't too bad, and in a lot of ways are better than I could do. The proportions, for example, are pretty good. I commented briefly and said they were nice. But as for subject matter...you're kind of right. It all looks very much like the kind of stuff a high schooler would draw - unicorns and dragons, all sorts of pretty things. Oh yes, and her mentions of a "random Zelda character" she created? Oh yes, quite random. It's Jenna, dangit, the character LQ is most famous for! It's kind of strange how she attempts to downplay Jenna and yet idolize her at the same time. And I just don't get the name change to Kitiara. Of course, that may be because I gave up and stopped reading MIL before the name change came about...

By the way, it's sort of pretty in a way, I guess, but still, Jenna looks downright stupid in the picture where she's kissing Link. What's with the stars and gems in her hair? She looks like an 80s fashion doll, like Gem and the Rockers or something like that. I don't know. It just all looks very...fakey. A high schooler's unicorn fantasy dreams that make me think of Lisa Frank portfolios. I used to like that stuff, too. And lots of Sue Dawe. I had a lot of those folders before I switched over to Schimmel.

But my point is, it's a phase I kind of grew out of...and I'm a year younger than LQ...
