The name was originally Jenna, then when LQ started catching heat about Jenna being a Mary Sue, she changed the name to Kitiara. Her reason? "She can't be a Mary Sue if she doesn't have my name!"

Actually, she looks like a copy of Zelda's character design. Save for the stars and moons in the hair... ;-)
