@ Jaberwocky, I think what Ex Member is trying to say (I know a bit long winded, no disrespect meant here ex member) this has been going on for a long time. I personally know ex member and they wouldn’t hurt a fly.
I won’t go into it in depth but, they thought Wendy was a friend and had confided in her over difficult times they were facing, very private stuff. Well Wendy went and told some person in the congregation and broke confidentiality, ex member was devastated at what she had done. now I know all about what happened next I was there, when ex member “pulled” Wendy up about this, Wendy tried to deny it was her, but ex member had not told any one else, there was quite a bad atmosphere between the two and rightly so because Wendy had not only broke confidentiality but elaborated on stuff.
Wendy having been caught out, started a terrible rumour over ex member, (so concerned person if you think yours is bad, it was nothing compared to what Wendy started over ex member) Wendy nearly caused this person to have a break down on the terrible terrible rumours she had started, and to make matters worse, ex member couldn’t do anything about it Wendy had planted the seed so to speak. Ex member was; boycotted, ignored, people whispering behind their hands, and they would stop talking when they entered a room.
The rumour Wendy started even filtered back to ex members family, but Wendy was so plausible in her terrible rumour she was spreading around pretending to “God Bless” them and hoped they saw sense, even to the point of remarking how she would try her best and help ex member.
So just stop and think ex member is trying to tell you all what Wendy is capable of doing. Wendy even told ex member even nearly convinced them that they were not working directly with spirit but an evil one Wendy even told another person in the congregation that ex member had “mental health” problems that other person was me.
