Subject: Jumping

Rode in on her chestnut gelding. Bought as a showjumper, she hoped he'd be worth the money her father, a well renowned solicitor, payed for him. In the indoor school she gently warms up, trotting on both reins, cantering circles and a long walk for a stretch. Superlative was pulling as he was eager to jump. Fiona turned him towards a small X pole of 2 and a half foot, which he popped neatly, but sped off as fast as he could go. Too easy she thought and so popped him over some 3 foot fences which he found easy too. Not wanted to push him on their first jumping lesson she jump goes around the course, the X pole, red upright, planks, green double, wall, style, black spread and a white ladder. The last few were only about 3'3. She patted him, very pleased. He had a nice jump and was controllable at speed. Jumping off she slid up her stirrups, pulled the reins over his handsom head and led him back to the stable.
