Subject: Ps2's mutating into my favorite system
In reply to: D1 's message, "Gah! Damn PS2!" on 01:59:55 10/23/01 Tue

If i had to pick my favorite system for 2001 I'd say dreamcast, cause DC just had a great game selection that I enjoyed, and all the arcade fighting games, especially project justice... made it the most played system in our "Arcade" we got going. But DC is pretty much dead now, so it's time to move on.

I'd have to say PS2 was pretty much dead to me in 2001 cause they had a crappy game selection. Onimusha and Bloody Roar 3 were the only games that remotly intrested me [but my friend got it anyway cause of grand turismo, which i dislike cause i find racing games boring, unless you can physically hurt your opponent]

But this last quarter of 2001 and 2002 have a great line up for PS2, Devil May Cry, Capcom Vs. SNK 2, METAL GEAR SOLID 2, FF10, GTA2, Zeonic Front, and something else i'm probably forgetting. These are the big guns that pretty much cement the system as the best for 2002 in my book

X-box- I hate this system, not only does it have a lame ass selection of games, but it just seems all around half assed. No titles intrest me except DOA3, which will come out for other systems so it don't matter. All my friends think this sytem looks lame too, so we probably wont get [I have a bunch of friends that I pool $$ resources with, so that together, we have a huge "arcade" of sorts]

Gamecube - I loved the NES, loved and still play SNES, but I hated the N64, all the games were bland, and pretty much the same thing, boring 3D platform games where you wander around aimlessly for 80 hours. The only thing that salvaged this sytem with me was a couple of really fun multi-player games like Mario Kart64, and smash Brothers, and mario tennis. I was going to write the Game Cube off as the same thing because none of the launch titles look very interesting except the new Smash brothers, and the new mario Kart.

That was until i saw the new Resident Evil 1 for gamecube, That loooks great! Plus the RE0 things going to be on there too, so this has cemented the system as somewhat worthwhile in my book because of the RE series.
