Man oh man. I thought that Zone of Enders would have been the game to make me love my PS2...little did I know that it just needed a little Capcom lovin' to make it the sweet, sweet system it deserves to be.

Yes, the only two games I have for it at the moment are Capcom games. Onimusha (Resident Samaurai. Cool cool cool!) and Devil May Cry. And I tell ya, folks, those are the only two games I need for the PS2.

At least until kingdom hearts and xenosaga come out anyway. And when are we gonna see a breath of fire game? Howabout Megaman Legends 3?!

Ok, yes, I am a gamer, I've always been a gamer and I'll probably always be a gamer. I love videogames (even though I suck rocks at them), from the lowliest 8 bit nintendo game (Strider, Zelda, Contra.) to the lovely, lively super nintendo (Oh yeah, gimme that sweet sweet final fantasy VI lovin, baby! C'mere Zelda! You is my woman now!) skipping past the n64, except for a few minutes on the best fighting game ever, (Smash brothers. Kick the crap out of pikachu and Mario! Who could ask for more?) to the cream of the crop, PS and finally, the shakey li'l playstation 2.

Yes, I owned a dreamcast in there somwhere. I also had a lynx at one point. Sega was a big, big disappointment to me. So much potential, so many slaps in my face. The biggest joy Sega gave me is when I traded the DC in for a gameboy advance.

So, here's what I predict for the future:

X-box: Hey, need a coffee table? It'll match your Jaguar ottoman and virtual boy coffee pot. Seriously, the only game that isn't a port of a PC title is DoA3...or as I like to call it: Tekken Jigglefest; We wish we were soul Calibur.

PS2: Man, I hope this does well. Games are starting to come out that actually show off the power and are fun to play. With the licenses that Sony's managed to get, the PS2 should be a really damn good system to own by the end of next quarter.

Gamecube: ...Ok, I hate to admit this, but I want one. Four reasons: 1) Smash Brothers Melee! 2) Lugi's Mansion 3) PSO that I can play offline with my wife (Yay!!! FINALLY!) and 4) Skies of Arcadia. Now I can finally finish it!

Not too shabby a line up. At least half of them are launch, or around lauchtime titles, and there's gonna be more, more more! Like Ray said, the addition of the Resident Evil line to the GC makes it even more attractive. Would you believe I STILL haven't played Code Veronica?

Gameboy Advance: Ok. How can this NOT do well? There is no competition outside of the Wonderswan color (which is overseas only) . It's sort of like watching a boxing match between Mike Tyson and a quadraplegic 6 year old.

Either way, it's a good time to be a gamer.

T the N.

P.S.
I'll buy an Xbox when some interesting games come out for it. Or Hell freezes over. Which would be about the same time, I think.
