His dad is Spike/Roger Smith from the big O. The toonami robot's voiced by the guy who does Krillin's voice in DBZ, believe it or not.

I think the reason that they're all pretty much the same actors you're familiar with is because Bandai uses a certain studio to dub its stuff, and of course, they have a few regulars. I kinda like being able to pick them out ^_^ It kinda gives me the illusion of America actually has some seiyuu.
