One more article, from late August. One item of note is that "Tyree says whether or not he'll get to play both sports in college will play a big part of his decision making...He says: "I really want to do both. If a school lets me do both that would be beneficial."" (I wonder if that is still an option or if part of the scholarship agreement is to play just the one sport.)

Getting looks for both football and basketball after earning district honors in both, Tyree doesn't favor one over the other and hopes to get the opportunity to play both at the next level. The talented athlete has received interest on the gridiron from the likes of TCU, Northwestern, and Iowa to name a few and has an offer from BUCKNELL for basketball.

"I've been getting interest in both sports," he said. "For football I would say Northwestern sends the most but I also get some from TCU and Iowa. I don't have any favorites right now, I'm keeping my options open for everything. I want to play both sports in college and I'd hate to decide for one over the other, it would be a very hard decision."

Tyree says whether or not he'll get to play both sports in college will play a big part of his decision making, however he points out that the school's academics will linger on his mind more.

"The school has to have great academics," Tyree said. "That's the number one thing on my mind. And like I said before I'm really split on football and basketball and I really want to do both. If a school lets me do both that would be beneficial."

As a point guard on the hardwood Tyree directs traffic with the best of them and on the gridiron he says his best strength is simply his instincts.
