Subject: Apology

Lorie, Please accept my apology. I falsely accused you of owning these terrible bash boards and should not have done that without solid proof. I was grasping at straws because I cannot stand the bashing that has been going on lately. I put my anger on you and should not have. Please forgive me. You and Schelbi have been nothing but nice to the girls and I each time we have seen you.

To those that are doing the bashing. It is a shame that this is what you spend your time doing. I have spent the last 2 weeks consumed with what is going on these boards and I will not do it anymore. I am not going to defend myself, my kids, or the Gosney Girls against people like you. You are everything that is irrational so there is no point. Anyone that knows me and my family know what kind of people we truly are. This behavior is beneath me and I am ashamed that I got caught up in it. If I have left someone out when I have made banners for the kids, I promise you it was not intentional and I apologize for that too. If you feel like I have not been friendly to you at a pageant, I am sorry for that also. Again, it was not on purpose. Unfortunately, I am kind of quiet until I get to know someone. And, if you do not like seeing the banners that I do for these kids, then you need to just scroll past them. These kids work very hard and deserve the recognition. I am sure their accomplishments far outshine anything you have done or would want to post on these boards!

We do pageants because they are fun. We enjoy spending time with our kids and we all enjoy seeing our friends whether they are Gosney Girls are not. I think the Gosney Girls are wonderful kids and a great group of parents. I am very proud that my girls are part of such a great group of girls and we are very thankful to have Susan as our coach. I also think that the kids and parents that we see at pageants that are not Gosney Girls are great too! We don’t choose our friends based on what coach they go to.

The past 2 weeks have been the ugly side of pageants for us. There have been a lot of people hurt and I do not want any part of that! The vile things that have been spewed all over these boards the last couple of weeks has been horrible and made me consider leaving pageants all together. How anyone can say such things about others is beyond me! I would hate to lead that kind of life. How can you enjoy getting up in the morning?

Thankfully, there is a wonderful side to pageants. There are the kids playing together, the parents standing around talking, the girls getting dressed up and looking so beautiful. There are the weekends at the hotels, the swimming, the directors that really love the kids, and the dinners at the restaurants (trying to cram 25 people into a little area). And, of course there are the midnight chat sessions with other mom’s that I wouldn’t miss for anything! (Ice Ice Baby!!) And, there are all the pictures that we come home with and I get to use to make banners for the kids! I definitely wouldn’t trade all of this for anything in this world. Thank you to all those that have stood by me these last couple of weeks and helped me realize that!

So, say what you want about me, my family, and our friends. But see, in the end, THE ONES THAT MATTER TO US KNOW THE TRUTH! And that was a hard lesson to learn these last 2 weeks!
