- Yes, Queens of The USA is "no fake" BUT you will still see pageant attire and hair and makeup too. It is toned down somewhat depending on the area the pageant is in but some will still be full force too. The photogenics are still the same retouched pics and those will most likely win. Don't go in expecting a completely natural pageant. And State and Nationals level is no where near natural, very high glitz with out the fake hair, eyelashes.   - Yes Queens is great. It is glitzy but with out anything fake so it evens the playing field. I have seen girls in Sunday best win over glitz pageant dresses IF the girls in Sunday best were poised and looked happy on stage. Hi everyone! I have the date for my pageant set! It is going to be January 26, 2003 in Woodville. If you live in Lufkin, Woodville, Jasper, Rusk, Pineland, St. Augustine or anywhere in that area and would like to be put on my mailing list please email me with your info. I have taken on a large area and I hope to be able to hold more pageants next year, but for now I am starting with the one pageant for that area in Woodville. If you live in that Area and had to compete somewhere else last year just email me and let me know. All Cinderella Royalty are invited to attend our Prelim to help crown.
Looking forward to meeting all of you and bringing Cinderella back to this part of East Texas!

- This past weekend was the first time we have met LO, and she was really nice to us, and even helped us get ready. As for Sara, most people know my husband hates pageants, but he was very impressed with Sara this weekend and loved her sportswear. I also like it. It is very original and is perfect for Sara. If her sportswear is all you have to complain about then she's doing something right. And no she did not fall this weekend. She did a good job and should be very proud of herself.   - Let me get this straight. There were very specific rules to the pageant, someone broke them (perhaps unintentionally even) and was disqualified from one event. LC was NOT the only one who noticed, and even if she said something to her roommate, her roommate was not the director. Hotel walls ARE thin, that's how I know LC didn't say a word to the director. - Let me straighten everyone out. I am the mom of that girl. First of all, it was not done intentionally it was done to be ladylike & not have her looking like a fool. Even without that score she won the Grand and I am very proud of her for being a great sport about it and still doing her best for Miss Diana. So to burst your bubble, stay out of it and our lives.   - When a boy compete's in what is essentially a "girl's" activity he will naturally have some occasions to get girl prizes. Equally when a girl competes in activities generally considered "boy" specific they have to deal with the other type of stereotype. . - The Victory Topper is not a "girl" it is an Angel of Victory and it is a symbolic thing. This does not occur only in pageants but is awarded in many other events to men & women alike. You can easily switch out the topper for one that you prefer to have, you don't need to replace the whole trophy. Directors should not be required to personalize trophies for each individual with their own topper preference. The Victory Topper is considered "generic" , not gender-specific. Not a bash, but did a lot of good professional, yet natural pictures get overlooked in AAF contest? The kids who were chosen were really cute, but so were the ones that had good pictures. Just kind of shocked that some won over others.

I was just reading an old post from a couple of weeks ago and I was wondering which of the overalls in the swimsuit pageant were in bad taste. My daughter was in that pageant and we had a blast ! Sounds to me like we have some jealous moms on our hands !!!

- First off, the purple outfit was not swimwear,it was not made out of stretchy material, it was made out of cotton. It was a skirt and tank top, it looked like a dance costume! - We are not HWB or GG, we are friends with everyone but, this is what I don't understand. Everyone makes such a big deal out of GG's and are so jealous and I don't understand why. How often do they really get lessons? With our coach, she gives us a routine and advice and it is basically up to my child whether my child does good or not.
